Civilian Instructors, Service Instructors and Chaplains
Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Officers are not the only members of adult staff that can serve on a RAFAC squadron. Civilian Instructors, Service Instructors and Chaplains all contribute to the smooth running of the unit.
Civilian Instructor
Civilian Instructors (CIs) are adult volunteers just like Commissioned and Non-Commissioned squadron staff. However, they do not have a uniform and they sit outside of the normal rank structure. CIs perform a wide range of duties on a squadron, including instructing, administration and driving duties. Some CIs may also hold a office bearing position on the squadron, such as Adjutant or Training Officer.

Service Instructor
Members of the full-time and part-time (Reserve) Armed Forces can help out on RAFAC squadrons in the role of Service Instructor. They typically engage in instructional duties which are often related to their serving role, but can also take on other roles within the squadron. Service Instructors wear the uniform of their parent unit and are addressed appropriately, with ranks junior to NCO being addressed as "Staff".
