Sports In The Squadron
Within the squadron we offer a variety of sporting opportunities. The RAFAC offers 7 sports at a competitive level (see below), so we like to give cadets the chance to try out other sports. We usually do this by booking a sports hall and equipment for a night to allow enough time to run a couple of different sports games. Previous sports nights have included:
- Dodgeball
- Basketball
- Unihock
- Ultimate Frisbee
- RAF Fitness Test Lite
Sports In The RAF Air Cadets
Sports competitions are held throughout the year in the RAFAC. Whether or not you consider yourself good at a sport doesn't matter - it's the taking part that counts. Every time a cadet competes in a sporting event, their squadron is awarded points. At the end of the year the squadron with the most points is a awarded their Wing Sports Trophy.
